This is a sponsored workshop (no charge to students) designed for Animal Responders. It will be lead by Instructor Susan Farren, who will provide cutting-edge research with relevant tools and practical techniques to combat and prevent the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries (PTSI). We are hosting a 1.5-hour session that will provide an introduction to the work of First Responders Resiliency, Inc.®! The proceeding 4-hour training will go further in-depth on each primary subject. You will learn how stress and trauma affect one's physiology, mental, and physical health when working in this industry. You will also be given science-based tools on how to proactively mitigate these effects. This workshop-style training is open to all levels of Animal Disaster Volunteers, Veterinary Professionals, along with First and Last Responders to incidents involving animals. We can't wait to meet you all!
