This unique hands-on training is pending IAI and NACA approval and will cover:

  • Animal Cruelty and the Link to Other Collateral Crime
  • Handling Animal Crimes, What’s Different and What’s the Same
  • Florida Animal Cruelty Laws and Disposition
  • Types of Animal Cruelty and Key Indicators of Animal Crime
  • 4th Amendment and Drafting Search Warrants
  • Animal Fighting
  • The Veterinarian’s Role in Successful Case Outcomes
  • Specific Considerations in Crime Scene Documentation and the Analysis of Forensic Evidence
  • Animals as Evidence: Documentation and Removal of Live Animal Evidence
  • Participate in mock scene documentation and other hands-on exercises
